Fear as a Source of Magic
Fear is a powerful emotion. It can overwhelm us at time, compel us at other times, it can even translate into an identity. Fear as a source of magic will take a look at how we "do" fear, what is it, where does it come from. Magic is often said to be empowered by drawing up strong emotions and focusing them into the working; in this workshop we will explore a different way of working with fear. Fear can be enlightening, give us vital information, as well as direction. During this workshop we will experience fear from a new perspective, allowing for growth and understanding of self.
Tommie StarChild is a spirit worker, witch, and Feri initiate. He was born with faerie companions (Simms), and comes from a family of conjure workers. StarChild is also a teacher, presenter, published writer and artist, owner of My Authentic Self, and founder of Sacred Moon, Sacred Self – Temple of the Old Ways. StarChild has over 20 years experience as a witch, a Feri initiate for over 9 years, and professional spirit worker for the past 6 years. He is a trained instructor, and has been teaching Feri for 7 years, presented for 5 years at Zuni Mt. Sanctuary's Shamans Gathering, and presented at San Diego Pagan Pride. In addition, he has presented on various topics such as witchcraft, meduimship skills, Authentic Self healing, meditation, poly relationships, healthy relationship skills, Art and Spirituality in SM play, and sex as a way to connect with divinity.
